"Anatomy of a Fall" (ENG subtitles) is a documentary by Anita Gargas and is one from a series of documentaries on the presidential Smolensk plane crash endorsed by Gazeta Polska weekly. The documentary is crucial in bringing us closer to the answer of what happened on the morning of April 10th, 2010 in Smolensk.

‘Anatomy of a Fall’ is one from a series of documentaries on the presidential Smolensk plane crash endorsed by Gazeta Polska weekly. It takes a closer look at witness testimonies and independent expert findings pointing to explosions on board the Tu-154M plane.  The documentary is crucial in bringing us closer to the answer of what happened on the morning of April 10th, 2010 in Smolensk.

 

 

The film premiere was held in Warsaw on January 15th, 2013. Attached with the Gazeta Polska weekly on January 16th, 2013 it reached a sale of 139,000 copies on the day. The movie was aired on TV Puls on January 30th and by public broadcaster TVP1 on April 8th, 2013, two days prior to the third anniversary of the crash. A screening of the documentary was also organised in the European Parliament by the European Conservatives and Reformist Group on 26th March 2013.

 

The documentary is directed by Anita Gargas, in collaboration with: Rafal Dzieciolowski, Anna Sarzynska, Konrad Falecki. The documentary is produced by Independent Publisher Polish, and issued by the “Gazeta Polska” weekly.

 

The film co-stars: Col. Zbigniew Rzepa (Spokesman for the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office), prof. Marek Zylicz (expert member of the Polish governmental ‘Miller’ Committee for investigating the Tu-154M crash), Aldona Polcyn (sister of Marek Uleryk), Lucyna Gagor (widow of Gen. Franciszek Gagor), prof. Kazimierz Nowaczyk and prof. Wieslaw Binienda (experts working with the independent parliamentary group for the investigation of the Polish Presidential plane crash), Antoni Macierewicz, prof. Andrzej Stepnowski, prof. Jan B. Obrebski, prof. Jacek Ronda, prof. Piotr Witakowski, Dmitri Ksiazek and residents of Smolensk.

 

Anita Gargas – investigative journalist. In 2006-2010 director of journalism in TVP1; author of the investigative program ‘Misja Specjalna’; author of the first Smolensk crash documentary entitled “10.04.10“. Anita was awarded the Polish Journalist Association Freedom of Speech Award in 2011″for courage and intransigence in searching the truth about the Smolensk crash.”
